29 Palms is a 2024 short drama set in Joshua Tree, following Japanese interior designer Yuuki Aoyama as a weekend away with her American boyfriend forces her to confront a stagnant relationship, depression, and thoughts of suicide.

Cinematography by Jesse Aragon. The visual approach contrasts warm, intimate interiors with the cool blue-hour desert, using deliberate compositions and controlled camera movement to mirror Yuuki’s shifting emotional state.
